Mod-Ka Pumas Kickboxing club is a  Lincoln based martial arts club for men and women  over 18 who wish to learn an exciting martial sport, get a little fitter and build confidence.  Please refer to our FAQs for common questions and answers.

Kickboxing is an exciting martial sport combining the hand and ring skills of western boxing with the flare and power of kicking techniques from the eastern martial arts.  Students learn the offensive and defensive skills and applications of this exciting combat  sport within a friendly, supportive framework and are encouraged to progress at their own pace as they develop new skills, applications and power.

Techniques and skills are learned through a combination of pad-work, partner based exercises, shadow boxing, structured sparring exercises and sparring itself.  Classes also provide a good level of aerobic exercise and cardio-vascular work for the fitness minded.

Classes last for approximately 2 hours and begin with a warm up and stretching to prepare the body and minimize any risk of strain or injury.

All students are licensed and insured to train in martial arts through Shi Kon and Perkins Slade Ltd.  Our Club Instructor Paul Mills,  is fully insured to teach and holds government standard martial arts coaching certification and is Enhanced CRB checked.

Mod-Ka Pumas Kickboxing Chief Instructor  Pat O'Keeffe (based in Essex), has authored three excellent Kickboxing books and two instructional DVDs and provides seminars and advanced classes to Mod-Ka students.

We welcome anyone who wants to come along and have a go.  Please feel free to email us if you have any further questions once you have toured the rest of the web site.

Please note that there will be no class on 28th or 29th July.
